This is a published lore entry from the After The Fall RP archive, documenting the world, factions, and timeline behind the DayZ roleplay server.

It is now March 30th 2024, two months into the outbreak. You turn on your tv and find it slowly turns on, strangely much slower than it used to yesterday. Now the British male was replaced by a British female wearing a business suit with a blue tie. Her tone is cold and unforgiving “Citizens of the Kingdom, this is formerly United Unlimited News. To start off, First King Leopold has provided direct oversight of the media, and as such we have rebranded to First Kingdom Media. Welcome to the news. First King Leopold has issued a decree halting travel between cities, and has authorized police to arrest those who have broken the travel mandate. “The First Travel Authority Act” was put into place yesterday, and our economy has shifted greatly since. London, the seat of the First Throne, has been granted seven hundred million pounds for improvements and police salary. Other cities are slated to receive a grant, however due to unrest in the northern areas of the Kingdom, no such grant has been determined yet. News on the United States is grim, yet has a beacon of hope. Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee have joined in an alliance to restore the United States federal government, with the Carolinas, Wisconsin, and Illinois immediately declaring condemnation on the act, stating the focus should be on the outbreak, not consolidating power. The states have entered a Cold War that reshapes the future of America. Our close ally in Maine, Governor Brody House, has authorized the LAM to begin operating outside of the state, with the hopes that he can ensure the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire can be cleared of the plague by force, and annexed into Maine until the restoration of the USA as a whole. His work to secure the future of the United States has opened trade once again between ourselves and the LAM, albeit very cautiously. May his efforts be unimpeded in this time of desperation across the globe. In other news, rumors of the Illuminati have been sparking around New York City, as some group has been seen with immense firepower in Times Square. Drone footage submitted to the FKM reporters has confirmed that the presence is human, and that Times Square itself has become some sort of a settlement. The First King has declared this settlement to be authoritarian, and should be avoided at all costs. Back to good news involving our ally with the LAM, massive numbers of recruits have been seen piling onto the doorstep of the LAM military recruitment office, proving that Governor House has been following through on his actions. Upon questioning the office on their recruitment numbers, the administration of the LAM confirmed that nearly one hundred thousand independent settlers have joined the LAM willingly, and are in a world class training facility for six months for their training. Additionally, STAG in Deer Isle has successfully quarantined Portland and Old Town, with Stonington being slotted for two months from now. No reports of unrest have been heard from in the QZ of Deer Isle, as STAG has begun phase two of their quarantine regulations. One final bit of news authorized by the First King himself. It is confirmed through testing that not every person is vulnerable to the Plague. Researchers deduced mathematically that theoretically at least a third of the population should have immunity to the airborne variant and biological contact variant. To test yourself, Blood Test Kits will reveal your immunity. Those who are not immune are advised to wear a hazmat suit with a gas mask at all times, and to avoid conflict.” you see the tv display an image of the First King Leopold in a very proud manner, he is wearing the preserved dress of a King that had died centuries ago, mixed with a cape that flows to his knees. The First King appears much larger than the people in the foreground, as they are seen in applause of his presence. The image almost presents Leopold as a godly figure.
