One Month — The Deer Isle Quarantine

It is now February 17th 2024. One month into the “Rotting Plague”. You see the same British male but in a white suit and brown tie this time “Welcome to United Unlimited News. We have unfortunate news. The Rotting Plague has broken through the walls built by the German and French governments, and since then both countries have gone dark. Drones and UAV satellite confirm massive hordes of the Plagued within the nations in their cities, and small survivor settlements at farms. It is theorized the governments are no longer active. In a response to the situation, Parliament has permanently shut down our borders. We can’t guarantee that the airborne variant won’t reach the United Kingdom, however our position geographically works in our favor. We at United Unlimited News have been tasked with ensuring the updates from Parliament make it to everyone across the globe that can watch it. In addition to the falling of Germany and France, Spain has been heard sending military strike calls to their border, sparking concerns that the next to fall will be the Iberian Peninsula. Portugal has begun a massive deployment of their Airforce that they can spare to assist Spain’s border control efforts. Spanish influencers across the country have been seen posting sensational collages of the battle for the border, as those controlling the outbreak for Spain have become heroes of this still unbelievable apocalypse. Meanwhile, back in the United States, the LAM has opened several Quarantine Zones in Deer Isle in an effort to mimic the UK’s geographical advantage. The cities of Portland, Old Town, and Stonington have been chosen for quarantine, and walls already have been built in Portland. Additionally, an energy corporation that ran the power plant in Deer Isle has been confirmed to be the leading operatives of this Quarantine. STAG, or the “Services and Technical Assurance Group” was seen using their PPE equipment to fill the role the CDC is unable to fill in the region. Many STAG members were contacted, and only one chose to respond. Head of Security Brian Pillai told UUN that “STAG is thankful for the opportunity that the LAM and Governor Brody House has given them, and we are thankful for the trust placed in the corporation due to our resources available and personnel that can ensure the safety of the QZ. I personally am looking forward to when we can begin the second stage of the Quarantine, where STAG will present a stronger presence over these secure cities to ensure that the American Constitution is upheld and our way of life is not interrupted severely”. You cannot make out any features that prove the person was a victim of the Plague due to the distance of the camera.
